WordPress 2.1 “Ella was released yesterday and Counterjumper and Ormmakal have been upgraded to the new version. First impressions: Overall there seems to be a noticeable performance bump (if you notice load delays, it’s probably the not-so-fast (mt) grid!), link categories is probably my favorite feature and Counterjumper is going to take advantage of it. Still too early to give a detailed review, but check out some of the other new features in 2.1

Moving on, creativebits has an interview with icon designer Jonas Rask, a nice little insight into the ways of a talented icon designer. Staying with design, if you are a designer, you might like to read about paper prototyping on A List Apart. I have always preferred paper prototyping, but it has always been a difficult medium with those who lack imagination.

Two more of my photos, taken on my trip to India in December, have been added to iStockPhoto. I was in India for my sisters wedding, but I am not much of a writer when it comes to travelogues, so I will let the pictures do the talking. Along the same lines, here is a nice little trip report, of a holiday in Goa, by Bad Language.

I have decided to close the 9rules rejects page, mainly because I don’t keep it updated anymore, and I don’t think a lot of people know about it. This decision has nothing to do with this email from e26.co.uk…he he he!! Sorry e26, I am just kidding around.

It is true that when I applied to join the 9rules network I was not selected. I feel however, that you keeping my website on a “rejects” list a bit rude. I certainly don’t feel like a reject and I don’t like my site being classed as such. I would kindly ask that you take my site of the list.

The rejects page will be shutdown on the 24th of Jan, 2007 at 8am MST.

Finally in the news, it’s chaos in Lebanon again, China admits to shooting down the satellite, Dutch brewer’s launch dogs’ beer, and the 101 dumbest moments in business.
